Literary Analasys 6

I think that Don Anselmo doesn't reveal who owns the trees on his first visit to the lawyer's office because he tried to be clever. The reason why I think so is because when they first made the deal, Don Anselmo charged the Americans only half the price of what the land is worth. Finally the way Don Anselmo offered the price to the Americans and the way he explained the trees don't belong to him but to his descendants was really generous. If I was the American it would make me think that there is some kind of a gentle twist to the deal or there is something Don Anselmo would like me to know. I think that Don Anselmo wanted to teach the Americans that you get what you get paid for and that we family is important.
